Winter is coming but it is endlessly
still warm and the insistent summer
sun will not let go its powerful grip
on the landscape that now teeters
from arid dry to destructive wet.

Cold is approaching with it misty hands,
but it must wait to the heat has its
final way and then the country rejects
its sweaty hands and invites the shiver
of winter cold to bring its refreshing chill.
