Let’s see the grotesque effigy of tyranny
for what it is:
ignoring dissenting voices
defying the will of the people
oppressing as a normalised system
distorting truth as policy
subverting justice and the rule of law
undermining systems of checks and balances
seeking to control even the uncontrollable
suppressing, restraining and censoring
removing those who stand firm
ignoring promises and commitments on a whim
paranoia as a state of being
developing a cult of personality

you, who say that democracy is not possible,
or doesn’t exist,
tell me, do you want this?
is this the pathological future of which you dreamed?
is this the kingdom of happiness you seek?

There is not a perfect democracy for
we are human.

There is a perfect tyranny and we
have seen its taxonomy and see it still.
