I am resolved in silence:
there is no more to say,
and in the quiet the unsaid
weighs heavy, more than
words, greater than eloquent
speech, going deeper than a
knife plunged into a bulging heart.
I will wait,
wait in this reverence,
and the coolness of
this unsaid,
wait for the peace
to fall as rain on
this hot bed.
This is the heart of it:
beyond these our walls,
and the roar between,
to the quite that is resolution.
