I am the emperor of the shaded world,
but I have nothing of a material kind,
and I am nobody for I seek not status,
and I do not wish to own anything at all,
especially not a being such as yourself,
for my goal is neither release nor desire.

My kingdom is not in seeking out or
holding down, but opening up the
opportunity to be part of me but still
be yourself, be part of the openness to
all things in the world and all beings that
here and now seek what is not control.

In never holding and possessing you,
you become part of me as an ownership
without keys, without chains, without
demand or making a case, for you sit
under the tree of enlightenment with me
and your face is lit in the moonlight.
