You have grown in me,
formed in me,
changed with me
a rebirth of another kind,
and yet you are not me,
and at times you are
a stranger’s child
looking at me curiously.

This is the form and pattern
of years and the intricate destiny
that we have crafted and un-crafted
together as friends and more
than friends, enemies and more
than enemies, with me always
in our secret journey
and our space of you and me
