Being with another human

hatred to a foe,
and maybe destructive rage.

Being with a person
is an opportunity:
to learn in connection,
to gain another perspective,
to challenge prejudices,
to feel delight in discovery,
to find a deeper well,
to create with another soul,
to locate that softer part,
to bring possibility through love.

A human,
a person,
striving like you
