Hold up this emblem
of freedom and never
let it be diminished
by clever stealth so that
it seems to be fully free,
but has no freedom at all.

Words carry truth,
so never hold them back.

Words carry power,
so let them wrestle with our mind.

Words uncover the uncomfortable,
so let them confront the darkness.

Words are messy and inconvenient,
so let them disturb our neat paths.

Words must be unfurled,
like a wild caged bird released.

For this is the emblem and let it be seen
in the strength of the sun that shines.
