The revolution is here
but everything seems the same,
but not quite so,
for beneath the surfaces
we wish to sustain, there
is change: change with potential
and upbeat talk,
change with fear and uncertainty,
as an uncomfortable
feeling that all those things
we once esteemed will disappear.

The revolution has come, but
this is not Utopia, for across this
world there is integration and
disintegration, location and dislocation,
all sitting together in a strange emulsion
that is hard to swallow,
yet we must drink.
