Non-being before being?
Non-being after being?
There was always being
in potentiality,
in possibility,
imagination,
in coming together,
in reality,
corporeal, earthen, hungry,
in being here with angst,
in memory held in substance
loose between phases,
in life forming
and giving itself
up for more life beyond
so that being itself
is held in seeking a
form of something,
not nothing,
is presence that
sits in the fox hole
of what might have
been absence.
