I will think my own thoughts.
I will not be seduced.
I will find my own way
that’s not yours to choose.

This is it–this is me!
I can be no one else,
for I follow no pattern
and I draw my own map.

Think me strange if you will
but show me respect,
for I am not like the others
who fall for clever tricks.

On holy ground I stand firm,
and I choose how I live,
among the throng of the fallen,
who see not their plight.
