I am watching the
pendulum move back
and forward,
hypnotise,
forward and back,
trance:
the sways of waves,
the beating and
the breath,
the reminder of life,
lithe and waiting
for me,
as the pendulum
swings, and I
watch it cut with
definition through
the midnight air.
