Is it too late?
Everyone is saying
that’s it’s not too late.
Except for a few.
Saying what we don’t
want to hear.

Is it too early?
Maybe we do not
yet understand the
grand picture of what
will come to be as
the future unfolds,
and we, as participants
and observers weigh
it all in the depth
of time and marvel
at our ignorance of
what we half-saw
but did not really see.

It is late, and I
and filled with doubt:
at myself and all
who glance through
the looking glass
and never return.
