I am open to fresh
revelations every day
about who I am and
what I am becoming.

Some are revelations
of disappointment about
the pettiness, sensitivity
and disregard I display.

Others are insights into
how I am changing into
a person without resentment
who looks to the potential.

And I am beginning to
check myself about a failure
to see the wondrous things
in my life with gratitude.

I am open, for to be in this
place is to breathe in the
capacity for change and to
see the sculpture being carved.
