They say that this
is the day the lord
hath made, but I
say that this is the
day we all make,
in all the decisions,
and turns and twists,
in the will to live
a good and authentic
life, in the gratitude
for the feast, in the care
we give as an sticky flood
that covers all the cracks.

This is not the day the
lord has made for we are
subject only to nature
herself and to all the ways
that others make their
days in this collective
we call a civil society.
