I am bringing kindness
as a balm to all those
I touch and hold, not
as weakness-no not at all-
but as strength and will
to go beyond the ways
of the given world and
stand straight and tall
in what is fully human,
in what is still truth
when it has died,
in what is dignity
when all that is left
is the pale sun of defeat.
