It is true to say that our friendship
did once glow warmly and we
stood in synergy, with a common
outlook, solidarity and care,
as we came together
for so many things
said and unsaid.

But now a chill has descended
like the morning fog over the
certainty of our warm bay,
and I mourn the loss,
the faith once placed,
and I feel let down
as distance grows
and hope fades.
