I hope it is not the case
that honesty is swallowed up
by words crafted to seem
a truth, but have no
authenticity at all.

I pray that we see troubled frailty
along with smiling success,
for being truly human is
both of these and more,
and the telling of
these stories
lived and breathed,
told honestly with resolve,
matters more than saying the
right words, or crafting neat
answers according to the book,
when there may be no answers at all.
