How can it be?

That we took humans
in chains and made them
our slaves– took their lives
for nothing more than greed.

We took their lives!
The living dead.
Took their lives
and pronounced it good.

This is the sunlight of history
that shines across our modern
world and brings to us plain the
cause of being fully human and never
letting this darkness rule again.
