I found it in confession,
in seeing the darkness
and the glaring light,
in the granules of life,
and being for others
and fighting for myself.

I have been searching
for it a long time on a
quest for the convenant
that will fill this hollow
beating part that sits
in the centre of my chest.

I found it but it is elusive:
moving with this life and
shifting with the moods
of the time but always
there as it has been across
the eons of being human.
