Don’t try to give me answers
to questions that can’t be answered
or platitudes about meaning
that just does not exist.

This is the state of me and the
all of me and my life is a hanging
thread that soon will be cut.

All I know is now in this place
where I lie alone and yet with
all of you surrounding me
with your very earnest care.

So be close and be still and
know that I am not brave or
inspirational, just a being
struggling to find her end.
