They talk about
better times,
times when trouble
recedes and becomes
a flat bay on a
calm sunny day.

But I say,
when has there not been
trouble?

The time is now,
and peace is a condition
of the soul that
transcends the storm
and its eye.

Peace is now.
Peace is the stillness
that comes from
you and me.
