Yearning

I have a yearning
and I don’t know what for,
what for,
what for.

It swells and grows and
points to I don’t know what,
know what,
know what.

This yearning towards
the whole,
the whole,
the whole.

It pulls me in,
in and out,
out and in,
like I am
this puppet dangling
on a long string.

I have a yearning
and it takes me,
like possession,
from afar,
from within,
about something yet
that has not begun.
