Being alone is
not so bad
if it means
finding a silent space
to be in your skin
and not pinched and pulled
by expectation.
Silence is not an enemy;
it is a companion and
it is a place inert
from connection with
everything, except
your own skin.
In the coolness of silence
there is only you.
